Privacy Policy

Mockshot turns your screenshots and recordings into 3D device mockups. This page says plainly what happens to them, and to the few details we keep about you. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your images or videos to train anything.

Your images and videos

The editor runs in your browser. The picture or recording you drop on a device is read by the browser and drawn on a canvas on your own machine. Your work in progress, the scene, the animation, the media you chose is kept in your browser's own storage so the editor can recover it if you close the tab. Clearing your browser data removes it.

One media feature reaches our server, and only when you ask for it:

• Background images by link. If you paste an image link, our server fetches that URL on your behalf, because most image hosts refuse a request made directly by a browser. We keep the picture no longer than it takes to hand it back to you.

Exports are rendered in your browser and saved straight to your device. They are not uploaded to us.

Your account

You can use the editor without an account. If you make one, we store your email address, your name if you give one, a hashed password or the fact that you signed in with Google, and the sessions that keep you signed in. We send email for one reason: to verify your address and to let you reset your password. Those messages are delivered by Resend.

Signing in with Google tells us your email address, name and profile picture. It does not give us access to anything else in your Google account.

Payment

Paid plans are handled by an independent payment provider. Your card details go directly to that provider and never reach us. We receive purchase details such as your email, plan, licence key, payment reference and subscription status so we can unlock your plan, prevent fraud and help with billing questions.

Who else sees anything

We share only what is needed with the services that make the product work: our hosting and database providers, Resend for account email, Google when you choose Google sign-in, ImageKit for template images, and the payment provider. Each provider handles data under its own terms and privacy commitments.

How long we keep things

Account details stay while your account is open and for a reasonable period afterwards when needed for security, disputes or legal records. Drafts and uploaded videos live in your browser, under your control. Payment records may be kept by the payment provider for the periods the law requires.

Your choices

Write to support@trymockshot.com and we will send you a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated personal data. You may also object to or restrict some uses of your data and complain to your local data protection authority, including the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Deleting the account does not automatically cancel an active subscription — cancel it through the billing portal, or ask us and we will help.

Children

Mockshot is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly keep their details.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, for account holders, say so by email. Questions go to support@trymockshot.com, or to trymockshot.com.
